Hopkins County Central sent five runners to Friday’s 2A state cross country meet at Bourbon County Cross Country Course.
Three girls qualified, led by Shelci Cabarrero-Hernandez in 190th with a time of 27:27.61. Fellow senior Raven Miller was two spots back with a 27:31.03, followed closely by sophomore Siena Welch with a 27:31.12.
For the boys, 8th-grader Brody Duncan led the way with a time of 20:22.09, finishing 158th. Junior Brendan Harper was eleven seconds behind Duncan with a 20:33.59.
