Allison Wood has battled a COVID-19 quarantine and unrelated minor health issues throughout the 2020 cross country season. The Hopkinsville junior still managed to qualify for the state meet out of a loaded region and brought home a 156th place finish Saturday at the Class 3A State Meet in Bourbon County.
Wood covered the 3.1-mile rolling course in a time of 22:56. She was the lone Hoptown runner to compete at the state meet.
Madison Central’s Ciara O’Shea won the race in 18:15.
