Former Caldwell County standout Derrin Boyd finally got to see the basketball court in a meaningful game for Georgetown College Monday. The redshirt freshman had nine points in 21 minutes of action as Georgetown beat Midway University 76-70.
Boyd was 4-of-5 from the field and added three rebounds and two steals. Former Western Kentucky University Hilltopper Jake Ohman had 20 points to lead Georgetown to the win in its season debut.
Georgetown will host West Virginia Tech Friday.
