For the first time in seven years, Heritage Christian Academy has placed two players on the KCAA All-State Volleyball Team.
Senior Elizabeth Pitts and sophomore Elle Heltsley were named to the 10-player squad over the weekend at the KCAA state tournament in Danville. HCA went 10-3 during the season and ended ranked fourth in the state power poll but saw its season end before the postseason due to a COVID-19 quarantine.
Pitts, the lone senior on the Lady Warrior team, was also a finalist for KCAA Miss Volleyball.
It’s the first time HCA has placed two players on the All-State Team in the same season since 2013 when current head coach Grace Waldron was named KCAA Miss Volleyball as a player.
