The Cullan Brown Golf Invitational not only raised money for the west Kentucky golf development fund named for the late Lyon County state champion, but the event was a fun weekend for the golfers and families that watched.
In addition to a Halloween contest and team competitions, the golfers were allowed to have caddies on the course. For several in the high school girls’ field, their fathers served as their caddy for the two-day event. The fathers of Lyon County’s Cathryn Brown and Apollo’s Macey Brown also joined in the caddy fun except they caddied for the other’s daughter.
The Brown fathers talked about the fun they had in being the caddy for the other’s daughter over what was a fun and emotional weekend at Paxton Park Golf Course.
