For the second time, the Ohio Valley League will attempt to play its 10th season. In 2020, the league lost its season to the COVID-19 pandemic, without a single game taking place on the diamond.

The 2021 season will see the arrival of a new team in the OVL. The Full Count Rhythm will play their home games in Hendersonville, Tennessee, at Drake’s Creek Park. With the addition of the Rhythm, the OVL will realign their Divisions for the 2021 season.

The OVL will now play two five-team divisions: North and South. The Northern division will include Dubois County, Henderson, Madisonville, Muhlenberg County, and Owensboro. The Southern Division will include Franklin, Full Count, Fulton, Hopkinsville, and Paducah.

The 2021 Season will start on Friday, 4 June, at 5 locations in Kentucky, Indiana, and now Tennessee. The League will play 44 regular-season games. They will play the teams in their division 6 times, for a total of 24 games, and the teams in the opposite division 4 times, for a total of 20 games.

The league will cap off the year with a postseason tournament involving all ten teams. There will be a 4 versus 5 play in-game in each division; followed by best 2 of 3 series in subsequent rounds. The championship series of the tournament should end no later than Sunday, 8 August.

For the Hoptown Hoppers, they will open the season on June 4 taking on the “new kids on the block”, the Full Count Rhythm.
