Christian County golfer Micah Smith has become the third golfer from Hopkinsville to commit to playing in college, announcing Wednesday he is headed to Kentucky Wesleyan College in Owensboro.
Smith was the lone senior on the Colonel squad in 2020. He finished 23rd at the region tournament the past season and had top-20 finishes at the Union County Invitational and the Christian County Invitational. He was consistently the first or second-leading scorer for the Colonels in 2020.
Kentucky Wesleyan has three seniors on its 2020-21 roster.
Earlier this month, Jiles Wyatt of University Heights Academy and James Folz of Hopkinsville announced their plans to attend Centre College.
