When Caldwell County and Murray met during the regular season, the contest literally came down the final play – at the end of both regulation and overtime.
Murray pulled out a 41-34 victory in that meeting after holding Caldwell out of the end zone on fourth down in OT.
The rematch figures to be just as close.
Caldwell senior offensive lineman Dalton Haney says his team remembers that earlier meeting, but that he and his teammates just need to do their jobs in the rematch in the playoffs this week in Murray.
Your Sports Edge spoke with Haney following Caldwell’s practice Tuesday afternoon at Tiger Stadium.
