Heritage Christian Academy is ranked fifth in the first boys’ basketball power poll of the season released by the Kentucky Christian Athletic Association.
The Warriors are off to a 2-0 start but have not played any KCAA teams yet. They are scheduled to return to the floor on Dec. 7 at South Haven, Tenn. Their first KCAA games are scheduled for Dec. 12 against No. 6 Bethel and No. 3 Assumption.
Community Christian is ranked No. 1 in the first power poll, and defending state runner-up Trinity Christian is ranked second. HCA’s region rival Oak Ridge Christian is ranked fourth.
Last year’s state champion Somerset Christian has moved to the KHSAA and will not defend its KCAA title.
