Mallory Peyton was having a monster season for the University of Kentucky when COVID-19 ended the college softball season in March.
The Madisonville-North Hopkins alum was hitting .379 with 11 home runs and 35 RBIs in just 24 games, helping Kentucky to a 20-4 start. She was second in the NCAA in home runs.
In her three-year career at UK, Peyton is batting .277 with 31 home runs and 102 runs knocked in. She was also named to the CoSIDA Academic All-District Team.
Peyton will be one of several key offensive players returning for UK in 2021, and she’s already hard at work preparing for the season.
