Former Caldwell County Tiger Dee Cain and the Western Kentucky Hilltopper football team will apparently play at Charlotte after all.
Your Sports Edge reported earlier this week that the game had been canceled. Well, it’s back on, with Western Kentucky going to Charlotte this Sunday for an 11 a.m. contest.
That game at Charlotte was originally scheduled for Saturday, Nov. 28, then moved to Tuesday, Dec. 1. It was then canceled before the schools were able to work out the Dec. 6 make-up date.
Sunday’s game is contingent upon successful COVID-19 testing for both programs.
Cain is playing as a senior this year for the Hilltoppers but still has another year of eligibility remaining. He sees action at linebacker and on special teams.
