Region cross country champion Ainsley Smith was named the Area 1 Runner of Year by the Kentucky Track and Cross Country Coaches Association.
The Calloway County senior was unbeaten through the region meet that she won going away. She also claimed a top-15 finish at the Class 2A State Meet.
Smith was also named 1st Team All-Area and Class 2A Runner of the Year.
Jonathon Grooms was named the Girls’ Coach of the Year for all classes and the Class 2A Coach of the Year.
Meanwhile, Daniel Puckett was named 1st Team All-Area for all classes and Class 2A All-Area.
