Emma Talley made it safely under the cut line at the Volunteers of America Classic after shooting rounds of 74 and 73.
Talley had missed the cut in her three previous LPGA Tour events, but finished up the first round early Friday morning with a 3-over-par 74 before coming back later to card a 2-over 73 in the second round.
That put her at 5-over through 36 holes.
Seventy-seven players made the cut which was at 8-over.
Talley will tee off in the third round at 8:19 Saturday morning. She will begin her round on the No. 10 tee.
The former Caldwell County High School and University of Alabama standout got in 14 holes on Thursday before first-round play was halted by darkness.
She finished up the last four holes with two bogeys and a birdie to finish the first round at 3-over.
Talley had two birdies and four bogeys in the second round.
She is one of 11 players tied for 45th place.
Two-time major champion Anna Nordqvist finds herself tied for the lead along with Americans Jessica Korda and Yealimi Noh at 4-under.
The Volunteers of America Classic is being played at Old American Golf Club at The Colony near Dallas, Texas.
