Another game, another career-high point total for former Caldwell County Tiger Derrin Boyd.
Boyd pumped in a game-high 28 points Wednesday night as Georgetown College knocked off visiting Indiana University Southeast 82-72.
Boyd, a redshirt freshman, was 9 of 18 on field goal attempts. He made four of his nine 3-pointers and was 6 of 8 at the free throw stripe.
Boyd added seven rebounds, seven assists and three steals while playing almost 32 minutes in the contest. He scored 14 points in each half.
Boyd is averaging 15.4 points a game this season.
Georgetown, which also got 27 points and 15 rebounds from Kyran Jones, is now 4-1. IU Southeast is 0-4.
The Georgetown Tigers are next scheduled to play at the University of Pikeville on Saturday afternoon.
