Tray Hollowell scored a career-high 21 points, but his Wofford University Terriers came up one bucket short in a 58-56 loss to South Florida in the first game of the Pit Boss Grills Holiday Hoopsgiving in Atlanta Saturday.
The University Heights Academy alum knocked down two straight threes to start the game and finished 4-of-15 behind the arc as part of an 8-of-21 shooting day. Hollowell also had five rebounds and three assists for Wofford [2-2].
In four games this season, Hollowell is second on the team in scoring at 16.3 points per game. He’s also second on the team in both assists and steals while shooting 33-percent from the floor and 71-percent at the free throw line.
