Officials with the Christian County Schools have announced the attendance policy that will be in place when winter sporting events get underway at Christian County High School and Hopkinsville High School. The announcement of the policy came Friday morning in a statement from District Athletic Director Kerry Stovall.

The policy announced Friday morning will be fairly close in line with the recommendations made recently by the Kentucky High School Athletic Association.

As of this time, the first phase of the policy will be in effect from January 4th through January 17th. During the first phase, contests will be limited to varsity and middle school level games only. There will be no JV or freshmen contests during this window. Tickets will be limited to family members of uniformed players and coaches.

Phase two of the winter sports attendance policy is set to begin on January 18th. Under phase 2, contests will expand to all levels of play. Cheerleaders and dance team members will be able to attend. As for ticketed attendance, that will be adjusted based on phase one events.

Winter sports competition is slated to begin on January 4.
