Like most other school districts across the area, Lyon County will be following the KHSAA guidelines on winter sports attendance when the season gets underway on January 4. That announcement coming Friday afternoon from officials at Lyon County High School.
According to a statement, game attendance for the first two weeks of the season will be capped off at a maximum of four attendees per participant. Lyon County officials say names have been collected and only those whose names are on the list will be able to attend in person from January 4 through January 18.
Officials add that temperature checks will be conducted at the door, with mandatory mask-wearing inside the facility. All guest seating will be in the upper section of the gym. Access to restrooms will also be limited during events.
Officials do go on to say that they are hoping the attendance level will be able to be increased after the first couple of weeks of the season.
