Cathryn Brown closed out the 2020 calendar year with a second-place finish over the weekend at the Hurricane Junior Golf Tour’s stop in Orlando.
The Lyon County sophomore finished the two-day event at the Eagle Creek Golf Club at 3-over-par. She finished nine shots behind the winner, Alex Crafton of Lake Mary, Florida who has signed to play college golf at East Tennessee State University. Crafton shot a 6-under 67 in the final round to claim the win.
Brown had five bogeys and a birdie in the first round to finish with a 4-over 77. Her up-and-down round Sunday included three birdies and four bogeys to finish with a 3-over 76.
The par-73 course played at just under 6,000 yards for the weekend.
