Caldwell County senior Jacey Jaggers is already among the 21 Lady Tigers who have scored over 1,000 points on the varsity level.
But the guard has a chance to finish as one of the top five scorers in school history — and could make a run at No. 2 all-time, depending on how many games Caldwell can play this season.
Jaggers begins the 2020-21 basketball season with 1,147 points, which puts her 16th on the Lady Tigers’ career scoring list.
She scored 330 points last season despite playing half the season on a torn ACL.
If Jaggers scores another 330 points this season, that would give her 1,477 for her career. That would be fifth on Caldwell’s list, just four behind Melly Heaton in fourth.
Jaggers would need 408 points to pass Leah Martin for third on the list and 536 to eclipse Lele Rodgers for second.
Abbey Benton holds a pretty substantial lead for first all-time with 2,001 career points.
