With the high number of COVID cases in the county, Christian County Public Schools officials have announced that winter sports competition will be delayed for several more days. On the upside, practices, with some modifications will be able to resume Monday.
In an announcement Friday afternoon, school officials stated that due to Jennie Stuart Health capacity limits, school system staff positive cases and quarantines, which are at 82 total, and the dramatic increase in the number of positive cases in our community, Christian County Public Schools would continue Non-Traditional Instruction the week of January 11-15.
In connection to that decision, sports practices may resume with modifications on Monday, January 11, however, games will not take place during the week of January 11-15.
Officials add that a review of the data and an update will be announced next Friday, January 15.
