
Scott Sivills picked up his 400th career high school coaching win Thursday night when McCracken County won 55-50 at McLean County.
The Trigg County alum is in his sixth season leading the girls’ basketball program at McCracken County. His record is 98-69, and the Lady Mustangs have won the district title each season he has been the coach.
Prior to McCracken County, Sivills was 302-209 in 17 seasons as head coach at Calloway County. He led the Lady Lakers to three region championships. His overall coaching record is 400-278 which ranks him sixth in the state among active coaches in girls’ basketball. He is the 33rd coach to reach 400 girls’ basketball wins in Kentucky.
Sivills is a 1989 graduate of Trigg County High School where he was an all-state basketball player. He later played at Murray State University and was an assistant girls’ coach for his uncle Buddy Sivills before taking the Calloway County head coaching job in 1998.
He was elected into the Trigg County High School Athletic Hall of Fame in 2018.
