Caldwell County grad Josh Wilkerson has started both games at Kentucky State University this season and is averaging 8 points a game.
The Thorobreds opened their season last week with a pair of losses at Gannon University in Erie, Pennsylvania.
Kentucky State, an NCAA Div. II school, is scheduled to play two more games in Erie next weekend, facing Mercyhurst University on Saturday and Sunday, Jan. 23-24.
The school is only playing non-conference opponents at this time. The Southern Intercollegiate Athletic Conference has pushed back the start of conference play to March 1.
Wilkerson, a sophomore guard who redshirted last season at Kentucky State, is a 2017 Caldwell County grad.
He played his junior and senior seasons with the Tigers after beginning his high school career at Lyon County.
