A football standout at both Fort Campbell and Todd County Central has decided where he will continue his athletic and educational career. Ethan Tomerlin, who played his senior season at Todd County Central after Fort Campbell’s program was shut down for the season due to the pandemic, announced in a social media post Tuesday afternoon that he would be headed to Franklin College, in Franklin, Indiana.
Tomerlin was the Rebels’ leading tackler in the 2020 season, finishing with 61 tackles, including four tackles for loss, and one forced fumble. On offense, Tomerlin carried the ball 14 times for 73 yards and a touchdown.
In his junior season at Fort Campbell, Tomerlin was among the Falcons’ top players on defense, and the team’s third leading rusher.
Franklin College is an NCAA Division III school, and a member of the Heartland Collegiate Athletic Conference.
