Games against Trigg County and Fort Campbell to open the season highlight the 2021 football schedule for the Todd County Central Rebels. The schedule was announced Tuesday afternoon by Coach Josh Robins.
The Rebels will prepare for the season with a scrimmage against Russellville on August 6 in Elkton. The Rebels will then close out the preseason August 13 when they participate in the East Robertson Jamboree.
Todd County Central will officially open the season August 20 when they host Trigg County. The game will mark the first matchup between the teams since the 2016 season.
The Rebels will hit the road for the first time August 27 when they travel to post to take on Fort Campbell. The Falcons lost their entire 2020 season to the COVID-19 pandemic.
Todd Central returns home for a string of three straight home games beginning September 3rd. The Rebels will take on Webster County, Hopkins County Central, and then kick off district play against McLean County.
The Rebels will journey to Monroe County on September 24, then return home on October 1 for a big district battle against Owensboro Catholic.
After their bye week on October 8, the Rebels close out the season with three long road trips. They have district treks to Butler County and Hancock County, and then close out the regular season by traveling to take on Green County.
Under first year head coach Josh Robins, the Rebels finished the COVID-19 shortened season with a record of 3-5, losing to Hancock County in the opening round of the Class 2A playoffs.
