Hoptown Girls’ Swim to First Place in Season Opener

Hopkinsville’s girls took first place Tuesday at the season-opening swim meet with Christian County and Allen County-Scottsville at the Rick Cohn Aquatic Center.  Hoptown’s boys finished in second place.

Hopkinsville had five first-place finishes among three swimmers and took first place with 314 points.

Allen County-Scottsville was second with 211 points, and Christian County was third with 87 points.

 

GIRLS

Ella Falco – 1st in the 200-yard free [2.04.11]; 1st in the 100-yard free [57.80]

Elizabeth Langhi – 1st in the 50-yard free [27.85]; 1st in the 100-yard back [1:08.32]

Addison Grise – 1st in the 500-yard free [6:51.64]; 3rd in the 200-yard free [2:30.12]

Riley Robinson – 2nd in the 100-yard breast [1:18.94]; 3rd in the 50-yard free [29.98]

Ashton Grace – 2nd in the 100-yard fly [1:22.39]; 4th in the 200-yard free [2:46.27]

Eliza Renshaw – 3rd in the 100-yard fly [1:32.84]; 5th in the 100-yard free [1:16.68]

Grace Cansler – 3rd in the 100-yard breast [1:25.36]; 4th in the 50-yard free [30.66]

Kylie Batts – 4th in the 100-yard free [1:14.87]; 4th in the 100-yard back [1:30.40]

Caroline Payne – 5th in the 50-yard free [33.28]; 5th in the 100-yard back [1:42.72]

Savannah Hutson – 10th in the 50-yard free [38.88]; 10th in the 100-yard free [1:29.98]

 

Allen County-Scottsville scored 234 points to win first place for the guys.  Hopkinsville had two swimmers win first place in their events and placed second with 106 points.

Christian County was third with 94 points.

 

BOYS

Chase Atkins – 1st in the 200-yard IM [2:18.07]; 2nd in the 500-yard free [5:23.52]

Ryker Glathar – 1st in the 100-yard free [58.09]; 3rd in the 50-yard free [25.98]

Cam Peacock – 2nd in the 100-yard breast [1:36.20]; 3rd in the 100-yard free [1:11.54]
