Caldwell County’s girls won for the second straight night, turning back Paducah Tilghman 70-55 Tuesday at the CAB gym in Princeton.

Jacey Jaggers poured in 28 points, Parris Gray had 12 and Karsyn Parker recorded a double-double with 10 points and 10 rebounds for the Lady Tigers, who also won 61-51 at Christian County on Monday.

Caldwell (3-2) led most of the night against the Lady Tornado.

The Lady Tigers led 15-12 after one quarter and 34-27 at halftime.

Caldwell stretched the advantage to 13 points, 52-39, through three quarters.

Tilghman (2-3) made a run in the fourth quarter to get within 58-53 with still more than 4 minutes to play.

However, Caldwell was able to spread the floor and force the Lady Tornado to foul. The Lady Tigers scored their final 12 points at the free throw line, going 12 for 16 at the stripe in the final 2:43.

Caldwell held a huge free throw advantage in the contest. The Lady Tigers were 25 of 43 at the line while Tilghman was three for five.

Caldwell played the second half without point guard Majah Hollowell. The senior twisted an ankle in the second quarter and is questionable for Thursday’s game against Trigg County.

Natalie Warren had 14 points to lead Tilghman but was the only player on her team in double figures.

Caldwell will host Trigg on Thursday in a game that was originally scheduled to be part of a girls and boys doubleheader in Cadiz.
