The Caldwell County Tigers were within 48-44 through three quarters at Russellville on Tuesday.
But the host Panthers went on to claim a 72-63 victory.
Jaquis Todd tallied 25 points and Elliott Chevis had 14 as Russellville improved to 3-2 on the season.
Caldwell got 20 points from Jabrion Spikes, 16 from Tripp Branch, 11 from Collin Whittington and nine from Carter Whittington.
It was the third straight loss for the Tigers.
Caldwell played without senior starter Tate VanHooser for the second game. VanHooser has been sidelined by an ankle injury, but could possibly return to the lineup on Thursday when the Tigers travel to Trigg County.
