The Hopkins Central Lady Storm delivered an early knockout blow Thursday night. The Lady Storm opened with a 20-0 run and rolled to a 66-27 win over Dawson Springs in a 7th District matchup in the Lady Panthers home gym.
After the big opening blitz, Central would go on to lead 22-7 when the opening quarter ended. By the half, the lead had grown to 38-13.
Not much changed as the two teams came out of the locker room in the second half. The Lady Storm outscored the Lady Panthers in the third quarter 12-9 to move the lead on out to 50-22 going into the final quarter.
The Lady Storm would then cruise on out in the 4th quarter to walk away with the 39 point win.
The win ended a four game losing streak for Hopkins Central and improved the Lady Storm to 2-4 on the year.
Dawson Springs falls to 0-4 with the loss.
