Trigg County’s Jaquellus Martin will be continuing his football career at Kentucky Wesleyan College. The Wildcat senior made the announcement on social media Friday.
Martin led the Trigg receiving corps with 31 catches for 711 yards. His 11 touchdowns are third-most in a season behind Devron Wadlington [2000] and Steve Oliver [1970].
He finished his career with 13 touchdowns which are tied for fifth-most in TCHS history.
Martin set the single-game receiving record with 242 yards against Paducah Tilghman on Nov. 20. His three touchdowns that night are tied for second-most in TCHS history.
Kentucky Wesleyan is an NCAA Division II school that competes in the Great Midwest Athletic Conference. The Panthers were 1-10 in 2019 and will be playing its 2020 schedule this spring due to COVID-19 concerns.
