Christian County’s wrestling program is ranked in the top-five in the state for the 2021 season. The Colonels, who finished second in the state last year behind Union County, are returning five wrestlers ranked in the preseason top five in their respective weight classes.
Dee Leavell takes over the reins of the wrestling program during the time of a pandemic which has altered practice time and methods. Through it all, he says the Colonels are ready to tackle the season and make another run at state.
The Colonels open their 2021 wrestling season Saturday at the St. X Duals in Louisville.
