Christian County finally got its long-awaited 2021 wrestling season underway Saturday at the St. Xavier Duals in Louisville.
Christian County lost to St. Xavier 50-27 and to Boyle County 51-23. They were edged 36-33 by LaRue County when forfeits were factored into the scores.
When the day was broken down by matches, the Colonels won seven of the ten matches wrestled against LaRue County. They were 4-5 against St. X and 2-6 against Boyle County.
TyDarius Kelly was 2-0 in the 285-pound class, and Austin Grant-Hall was 3-0 at 138.
