
Trigg County’s wrestling team picked up a split in dual match action Saturday at Owensboro Catholic. Trigg beat Owensboro Catholic 40-36 but was edged 32-30 by Hopkinsville with forfeits factored into the scores.
Trigg wrestlers who went unbeaten on the day were Thomas Bruce (120); Timmy Cannon (126); Makenna Hendricks (138); Jack Lingenfelter (170); and Corbin Forrest (285).
Wrestlers who went 1-1 were Lily Hill, Tyler Jacobs, and Matt Alex Ladd.
“This team took a step forward today,” said Trigg wrestling coach Ralph Stevens. “I’m proud of how they wrestled.”
Trigg will take to the mat again Saturday at McCracken County.
