The Lyon County Lyons, after waiting for more than a week to find out who their opponent will be in the 2021 All A Classic, now know who that opponent will be. Kentucky Country Day took the 7th Region All A title Monday evening, getting past Walden 58-48.
The Bearcats led 14-12 after the opening quarter of the game. The lead would grow to 35-26 at the half.
KCD took a ten-point lead at 48-38 heading into the final eight minutes and then held on for the final 10 point margin.
Kentucky Country Day is now set to play Lyon County Wednesday, February 17, at 4:00 pm, at McBrayer Arena, in Richmond.
KCD now stands at 3-4 on the season. Kentucky Country Day has now won six of the last eight 7th Region All A championships. KCD has only three all-time wins in the All A state tournament, all of them coming in 1991 when they reached the title game before falling to University Heights.
