When Lyon County takes the baseball field this spring, they will have another player on their roster who will continue his career in college.
Senior Austin Long committed to Greenville University, an NCAA Division III school in Greenville, Illinois.
As a sophomore in 2019, Long was 3-2 with a 3.52 ERA. He struck out 33 batters in 47 innings pitched.
At the plate, Long hit .217 with a home run and five RBIs in 23 at-bats.
Long’s teammate, Brody Williams, committed to Kent State last summer.
