Heritage Christian Academy could never find an offensive rhythm and never led in a 45-33 loss to Northside Baptist Thursday. The 33 points scored was a season low.
The Royals from Mayfield jumped ahead 8-0 and kept their advantage around 10 points for the remainder of the half.
HCA didn’t do a good job of taking care of the basketball, turning the ball over 19 times.
Northside built its lead to as many as 14 points in the second quarter. A couple of buckets by the Warriors to end the first half got them to within 35-25 at the break.
Weston Powell scored consecutive buckets, and J.J. Thompson capped the 10-0 run to get the Warriors to within 35-31 early in the fourth quarter.
HCA managed just one more bucket the rest of the game coming on a Powell score with 2:11 left.
