Heritage Christian Falls in Foul Fest at Oak Ridge Christian

Heritage Christian Academy couldn’t overcome an abundance of fouls and seven 3-pointers by Oak Ridge Christian in suffering a 69-63 road loss Saturday.

HCA was called for 29 fouls and had four starters foul out of the game. Oak Ridge shot 40 free throws in the contest, making 20 and outscoring the Warriors by six points in the final quarter.

Carlos Robles scored nine of team-high 22 points in the fourth quarter, and Triston Folz scored eight before both players fouled out.

HCA did get to the free throw line 25 times, making 15. There were 49 total fouls called in the game.

Robles added nine rebounds and seven steals to his stat sheet. Weston Powell scored 14 points and grabbed 11 rebounds.

Lucas Havens scored 14 of his 19 points in the fourth quarter for Oak Ridge. Harrison Hampton hit five of Oak Ridge’s seven 3-pointers and finished with 23 points.

Oak Ridge avenged a 67-61 loss to HCA on Jan. 8.

HCA must beat Bethel Thursday to keep alive a shot at a No. 1 seed and a first-round bye in the KCAA Region 1 Tournament.
