Caldwell County appeared to have the momentum when it cut a double-digit lead to 31-27 at halftime.
But Ohio County quickly pushed the margin back to double figures in the third quarter and went on to beat the Lady Tigers 66-52 Saturday night at the CAB gym in Princeton.
Kelsey Kennedy had 24 points to lead the visiting Lady Eagles (5-3). Heaven Vanover added 13 points while Addie Bullock and Rain Embry had 11 apiece.
Jacey Jaggers paced the Lady Tigers with 20 points. Parris Gray had 14.
Down 16-7 after one quarter, Caldwell got a boost from its young bench in the second period while coming back to make it a four-point game at the break.
But the Lady Tigers couldn’t maintain that push in the second half, with Ohio leading by double figures most of the rest of the way.
Caldwell, now 3-7, has dropped five straight games.
The Lady Tigers next host McCracken County on Tuesday.
