Lyon County Still Embedded Among State’s Stat Leaders

The Second Region boasts two of the top ten scorers in the state according to a Wednesday stat update provided by the KHSAA.

Dawson Springs’ Landon Pace is averaging 34.8 points in just four games due to a combination of an ankle injury and the team’s COVID protocol.

Lyon County’s Travis Perry is 10th in the state at 27.4 points per game.

North Laurel’s Reed Sheppard leads the state at 34.9 points per game. Marshall County’s Zion Harmon is third at 30.2 ppg.

Perry is also 14th in the state in 3-point shooting percentage at 47.3-percent.

Elsewhere, Madisonville’s Zach Tow is 25th in the state in rebounding at 10.2 per game.

In the team stat categories, Lyon County is third in scoring at 80.9 points per game.  The Lyons dropped slightly after scoring a season0low 47 points Monday in a loss at Owensboro Catholic.

The Lyons also rank fifth in scoring margin at 23.8 per game.

Dawson Springs is 18th in the state in free throw percentage at 74.6-percent, and Madisonville is 10th in rebounding at 35.2 per game.
