
Ohio County hit nine second-half 3-pointers on Tuesday night to turn a 7-point halftime advantage into a 72-37 blowout of visiting Todd County Central. The loss drops the Lady Rebels to 7-8 overall, while Ohio County claims its fourth-straight win to move to 7-3.
Madison Smith scored half of the Lady Eagles’ first-quarter points and they led 10-6 after one. Lucy Chester and Alexis Taylor each scored 4 points in the second for the Lady Rebels, but Ohio County’s Kelsey Kennedy matched them with 8, including a pair of 3-pointers, for a 23-16 advantage at the break.
After going scoreless in the first half, Ohio County’s Addie Bullock found the range with a couple of 3-pointers for 9 points, with Smith adding three more from behind the arc. Abby Williams scored 5 of her team-high 11 for the Lady Rebels, but they were outscored by 12 and trailed 46-27 with a quarter to play.
Bullock stayed dialed in from deep with three more 3s for the Lady Eagles, completing a 19-point second half and handing Todd Central its second loss in four outings. The Lady Rebels will welcome Logan County to Elkton for a 13th-District matchup on Friday. The Lady Cougars took the first meeting 43-28.
