The Kentucky All A Classic State Tournament will be delayed by a least one day due to winter weather moving into the state that is expected to dump 4-10 inches of snow.
The girls’ tournament was scheduled to begin Monday at Eastern Kentucky University in Richmond. Second Region champion Crittenden County is scheduled to play Newport Central Catholic, while First Region champ Murray will play Bishop Brossart.
The boys’ tournament was scheduled to begin Wednesday with Lyon County playing Kentucky Country Day.
All A Classic officials said revised game times for the tournament will be announced with the semifinals and championship games now scheduled for Sunday, February 21.
An update will be given Monday afternoon. Since moving to a statewide format in 1990, the All-A Classic has never had a state tournament canceled due to weather.
