For the moment, winter weather has not had much of an impact on when the Lyon County Lyons are scheduled to play in the All A Classic in Richmond. All A officials announced Monday morning the “first” proposed revision in the schedule for the event, which originally had been slated to start Monday.
Under the current plan, the tournament will start Tuesday afternoon with a slate of four games at McBrayer Arena.
For Lyon County, their game against Kentucky Country Day is now slated for 4:30pm eastern time Wednesday afternoon, about 30 minutes later than the originally scheduled time. Should the Lyons win, they would have Thursday off and then return to action on Friday.
The semifinals will now be played on Saturday, with the championship now moved back to the traditional Sunday position.
The change was more significant for the 2nd Region girls’ champion. Crittenden County, who was originally set to play Newport Central Catholic on Monday evening, will now play instead Thursday morning at 9:45am eastern time.
Tournament officials do state that the planned schedule is tentative depending on the winter weather impacting the state this week.
