It’s been a slow go of it for Trigg County junior Khyran Vaughn. After scoring eight points a game as a sophomore and grabbing a team-high eight rebounds a game, he was expected to begin the 2020-21 season as a starter.
However, health problems limited Vaughn’s playing time early in the season only to be followed by a COVID-19 quarantine. Vaughn shook off the rust to score 10 points, grab eight rebounds, and block three shots in Saturday’s 54-50 win at St. Mary. Afterward, Vaughn said he’s now ready when his name is called and getting close to full strength.
