Odd Quarters Doom Lady Warriors in Super Regional Loss

Heritage Christian Academy had trouble scoring in the odd quarters and fell to Micah Christian 45-27 in the KCAA Super Region in Grayson County Friday.

The Lady Warriors managed a single bucket in the first quarter in falling behind 11-2.  Two free throws accounted for the only scoring in the third quarter as HCA trailed by 15 points heading into the fourth quarter.

Kinley Deason scored 19 of HCA’s 27 points.  She also had four steals. Bailey Craft added seven points and 11 rebounds.

Carissa Bush led Micah Christian with 11 points.

The KCAA adopted the Super Region format for basketball in 2020-21 to cut down n travel for purposes of COVID-1. The Super Region combines Regions 1 and 2.

Heritage Christian will begin play in the KCAA State Tournament next week at West Jessamine High School.
