After dropping their last four games and not breaking 40 points in the previous two, the Todd County Central Rebels got a much-needed 65-41 win at Ballard Memorial on Saturday.

The Rebels, now 4-10 overall, have their next three on the road before wrapping up the regular season with a pair of home games.  Included in that stretch are 13th-District matchups with Franklin-Simpson and Logan County.

Mareke Johnson scored 6 first-quarter points to get the Rebels started, but Ballard’s Jace Birney put up 5 and the Bombers led 13-12 after one.

The Rebel offense picked up in the second, with Amari Andrews scoring 6 of his 12 points in the frame and Anthony Johnson chipping in 5.  Todd Central outscored the Bombers 19-9 and led 31-22 at the break.

Todd Central got 5 points each from Mareke Johnson and Preston Rager, but Kyle Hollingsworth answered with a pair of 3-pointers for the Bombers.  The Rebels took a 13-point cushion into the 4th quarter.

Perez Whitlock and Logan Burgess combined for 10 points over the final eight minutes and the Rebels tightened the defensive screws to pull away.  They held the Bombers to only 5 points and outscored them by 14 for the final margin.
