Former Caldwell County Tiger Derrin Boyd had 13 points and nine rebounds but his Georgetown Tigers fell in the semifinals of the Mid-South Conference Tournament Monday night in Bowling Green.
Thomas More took advantage of a sluggish start by Georgetown and went on to post a 65-49 victory.
Thomas More advances to face Shawnee State in Tuesday night’s Mid-South Conference championship game.
Georgetown is now 16-7.
Boyd and the Tigers now await the NAIA Selection Show Thursday night to find out where they are headed in the NAIA Tournament. Forty-eight teams will head to regional sites with the final 16 advancing to Kansas City, Mo., to battle for the national title.
