Caldwell County’s girls led 23-15 at halftime, but play got physical in the second half and host Whitesville Trinity came back to claim a 48-42 decision Monday night.
Cassidy Morris scored 19 of her game-high 25 points in the second half to lead the Lady Raiders (3-10).
Morris had 13 points in the third quarter as Trinity turned its eight-point deficit at the break into a 33-31 advantage entering the final frame.
Josie Aull added 15 points for the 3rd Region school.
For Caldwell, now 6-10, Jacey Jaggers had 14 of her team-high 20 points in the first half. Majah Hollowell joined her in double figures with 12.
The teams are scheduled to meet again in each squad’s regular-season finale March 12 in Princeton.
Caldwell’s girls will be back in action Tuesday night when they visit Crittenden County for a 6:30 p.m. contest.
