Hopkinsville High School will host the Region I Swim Meet for the second straight year. The KHSAA announced the region sites, as well as the three state meet locations Monday.
No date has been announced for the region meet at Hoptown, which will be held in an April 5-17 window.
The KHSAA said there will be no spectators at postseason swimming and diving events and all events will be timed finals only.
The top two finishers at the Region I Meet will advance to Russell County High School, one of three approved state meet sites. Schools from Regions 1-3 will swim at Russell County on April 24. The top 7 at-large finishers from within the three regions grouped together will also advance. Regions 4-6 will swim in Louisville, and Regions 7-9 will swim at Union College.
Meets will be timed finals and the state awards will be calculated based upon the performances from all three sites, with the results from each site combined for team scoring and individual honors.
