Former Lyon County standout Gabe Board hit his first college home run on Thursday to help Lindsey Wilson College split a Mid-South Conference doubleheader with Shawnee State.
Board delivered a two-run shot over the left-field wall as the Blue Raiders took game one 12-3. That came in the eighth inning of the opener.
Shawnee State would come back to get the second game 6-2 at Egnew Park in Columbia.
Board, who saw action at second base, finished the first game 2-for-4 at the plate while knocking in three runs and scoring twice.
Board also played second base in the nightcap, going 1-for-3 with a stolen base.
He is now hitting .239 this season for Lindsey Wilson.
Board has played in 13 games this season with 12 starts.
Lindsey Wilson (7-10, 4-4 Mid-South) and Shawnee State (9-8, 3-4) return to Egnew Park Friday for a single game beginning at 10 a.m.
