Q Cager and the William Penn Statesmen are headed to the NAIA National Tournament Round of 16 this weekend in Kansas City.
William Penn, the No. 2 team in NAIA for most of the season, defeated Mid-American Christian University 85-75 Saturday in Park City, Kansas.
The Hopkinsville High alum scored 16 points on 6 of 7 shooting from the field and grabbed five rebounds.
William Penn [25-1] will play Carroll, Montana Friday night in Kansas City with a chance to advance to the quarterfinals where they will play either SAGU, Texas [11-2] or Morningside, Iowa [21-5].
