Morgan State and De’Torrion Ware came within one game of the NCAA Tournament. The Bears lost to Norfolk State 71-63 in the MEAC championship game Saturday.
Ware scored 16 points and grabbed five rebounds for Morgan State in the loss. The Christian County High alum scored 80 points in the three tournament games, which was just nine points shy of the all-time MEAC tournament record.
Ware was also named Second Team All-MEAC for his play during the regular season.
